Merry Christmas!
This year we had a wonderful Christmas at home and were able to spend Christmas night with our Patty Cake and Papa. Unfortunately we were missing four members of our family: Callie, James, Eisley and Addison, but we will soon celebrate Christmas with them when they come in town to visit :-)

Winter Plunge
This past week me and about twenty other folks took a journey to Pioneer Plunge, a camp right above the Young Life camp Windy Gap. Pioneer Plunge is meant for kids who are wanting to grow a deeper relationship with Christ and are able to escape the world of technology for a little while. Everything done there is manual. We cooked our food on a wood burning stove, washed our dishes in tubs, chopped down our own trees and split our own wood for the fire. It's a wonderful experience and a great way to get to know people and Christ.

Colleen Karinne Carl
So many of you know that i am living with two lovely ladies, Annie and Colleen, but many of you don't know who Colleen is and where she came from or how she came to live with us in St.Augustine so i will tell you.
Colleen was raised in Detroit, Michigan and came to Florida to attend Clearwater College. Colleen is very involved with Young Life and has been a leader for about 5 or 6 years. This summer she was the store intern at Southwind camp in Ocala Florida and that is where me and Annie got the pleasure of meeting Colleen. We got to spend 5 weeks being with Colleen in the Southwind store and at the craft cart and during that time Colleen really felt called to be in St.Augustine after her recent graduation from college. And then by many unseen events and happenings, God opened the doors to the three of us living together in downtown. She is currently working with a company called Bricks for Kids and teaching kids how to build things with legos. She is also a receptionist at a Doctors office and is teaching music lessons on the side. We are so glad that God brought her into our lives and have so much fun hanging out and living with her!

Christmas Pancakes
Last week Annie traveled to Idaho to see her boyfriend Phil and while she was there, his grandmother made them Christmas Pancakes, and thankfully Annie was able to get the recipe and bring it back home to make for us :-)
The Recipe:
Pre-heat the oven to 425--use 9x13 size pan for batter
4 eggs/1 cup of milk/1 cup of flour
Put 1/3 cup of butter into 9x13 pan
Put dish in oven to melt butter
Watch the butter carefully while in the oven so that it doesn't burn.Mix batter in blender:first the four eggs for 1 minute
Then gradually add the milk and then the flour, add while continuing to blend.
When all has been blended together, blend another 30 seconds.
Pour batter into hot melted butter: bake at 425 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
The pancake will puff. Take out of over and serve immediately , while hot cutting into nice squares. Serve with Strawberries and whip cream, or any other toppings you enjoy!

Painting
So i had a request from my sister to do a abstract painting of the girls, so i decided to experiment and see what it would look like and this is what i got on my first try. i cant decide if i like it or not because it looks kind of "creepy" maybe, with all the eyes and what not, but i guess that is what abstract is....so i would love to know what you guys think. Thanks :-)
Fun day with Sara!
Last monday, my good friend Sara came to St.Augustine to look at Flagler and we had a blast visiting places from our high school years that we hadn't been to in over 2 years!
